Prior to moving to Hong Kong in 2010, Caroline held a range of senior executive positions in the global financial services industry.
At the time of moving she had two small children and turned down a fantastic role to follow her husband's career. The move however allowed her to reconsider her priorities and led initially to some time at home with the children, while being involved in a wide range of volunteering activities. Her return to work involved a career change to become a facilitator and coach for several global corporate consultancies, specialising in communications, change management and leadership. She has worked with senior executives and business teams to reconfigure business processes, merge businesses, improve communication skills and manage change for major organisations. Her clients have included AXA (Australia & Singapore), ING, National Australia Bank, MLC, ANZ Bank, JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, Cathay Pacific and many more. She has also run her own sports management business. When looking to change careers, she searched for support in Hong Kong and while there were career coaches available, there were no current tools or programs to designed to help those who were looking to get back into the workplace, whether to their original career or via a career change. Being out of the workforce for a while and then trying to find work in a new country can be a very daunting task and support is so important in making this happen. In 2015 she set up Back to work Hong Kong to offer a range of short programs and personal coaching to assist anyone wanting to return to the workforce. The aim is to provide a structured and supportive environment for individuals to determine their career goals and then go out and achieve them. This was extended in 2016 to assist organisations who wish to attract returnees and BTWHK also offers short programs and coaching to employees. In 2017 Caroline returned to Australia and is now Head of Service Delivery for Bupa Dental Corporation. Caroline has an LLB (Hons) from the University of Wales and a Masters of Business (Marketing) from RMIT. |
